Welcome to our website! Laura Judd and Tom Aiello, the owners of Tinstar Labradors, train and run our dogs in AKC Hunt Tests, an occasional AKC Field Trial, and to be first rate hunting partners and great companions. We do not breed our Labrador Retrievers just to sell puppies or collect stud fees. We occassionally have a litter available that we offer for sale, or a started gun dog. If we don't, we might know of someone to put you in touch with who does!
We do this for the love of the sport and the breed as a hobby, not a business.

Caerleon's Water Mark MH, MNH - "Sierra", our first Labrador qualified and was invited to participate in the Master Nationals in both 2002 and 2003. This is quite an honor as only 350 dogs (approximately) nationwide were invited that year. Sierra was trained and handled by Laura Judd, as an amateur. Sierra and Laura received qualifying scores both times - in Bend, Oregon 2002 and in Thomasville, Georgia 2003.
From Sierra's first litter we kept a male, Tinstar's Marshall Dillon MH - "Dillon" has attained his Master Hunter Title and was qualified to participate in the 2006 Master Nationals. Dillon has been used for stud and has several litters on the ground. His progeny have proved to be very handsome and have proven themselves in the field, several of which have earned their own MH title! Dillon is now completely retired and no longer available for stud.
Our second breeding of Sierra was to FC AFC Yellowstone's TNT Explosion - "Nitro". For photos, visit our gallery. "Tin Star's Nitrous Blast MH”, (Shelby) attained her Master Hunter Title and ran in the 2006 Master Nationals. Her full sister, from our last repeat breeding, "Tin Star's High Flyer" (Flyer) also has her Master title, as does the littermate we kept, "Tin Star's Armed and Dangerous MH." "Pistol" was bred in 2008 and we are running her offspring now. She is bred again and we hope for pups in late Fall 2011.
Sierra now rests where the water is always warm and there's no limit on her retrieves. This website is dedicated to her memory; as she truly did change our lives.
